F0 he has a harrowing story and as he made his way off the plane, he talk the pilot and flight attendant. Did our training. Followed our training just like anybody would. You did an amazing job. And now this is video of the plane on the tarmac here at Tampa International airport where maintenance crews changed a blown tire. Jerry said something was wrong when the plane went to land but the pilot suddenly pulled up. And then the plane circled around the bay area for quite a while. The pilot explained that the indicator light went off showing a problem with the landing gear. Jerry says he could hear that problem as well. The planes landing gear was not engaging. We heard the mechanism under the plane going [ making noise ] like something was trying to release and it wasnt. And then we started to get curious. Rep
Florida from california. This American Airlines flight made a stop in phoenix. He says things went wrong the moment the plane started to touchdown here in tampa. Lets go to video right now that we shot not too long ago. It shows the plane on the tarmac here at Tampa International airport where maintenance crews just changed a blown tire. And now we spoke to jerry who said something was wrong when the plane went to land but then the pilot pulled up quickly. And then the plane rc while. And an indicator light apparently went on telling the flight crew there was a problem with the landing gear. Jerry tells me, he could hear it as well. Listen initially the left side of the planes landing gear was not engaging. Engaging. And then we started to get curious. Reporter the flight crew screamed for everyone onboard the plane to brace upon landing. They got into crash positions but thankfully they landed safely.
