Fox News contributor Katie Pavlich explains why the 60 Minutes report on Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has been proven untrue.
The Poynter Institute for Media Studies has joined the growing chorus of criticism against the controversial 60 Minutes report that suggested Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, R., engaged in a pay-for-play scheme with Publix over distributing coronavirus vaccines. There was really no
there there, Poynter’s senior media writer Tom Jones wrote. ’60 Minutes’ is the finest and most respected investigative journalism show in the history of television … that doesn’t mean it’s infallible, Jones wrote. And a sloppy moment on Sunday’s show is raising serious concerns.

Although its political assassination attempt against Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) has been thoroughly debunked as a hoax and conspiracy theory, the long-disgraced
60 Minutes is standing by its smoldering pile of fake news.
Over Easter weekend, the long-disgraced
60 Minutesdeliberately and falsely accused DeSantis of accepting a $100,000 super PAC contribution from the Publix supermarket chain in exchange for awarding Publix a China virus vaccine contract.
This did not happen. Two Democrat
Democrat! state officials said so; as did Publix, a regional chain that gives money to both parties most especially Florida politicians.
Side Note: In Florida, Publix is like the homeless in New York or human feces on the sidewalks of San Francisco or car-jackings in Detroit or hate crimes in Los Angeles… You can’t throw a rock without hitting one.

“60 Minutes” should have stopped digging that hole when it comes to the deceptive hit job that they did on Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. They should have just said, “Sorry, we were mistaken,” even though we all know it wasn’t a “mistake.”
Instead, as we reported earlier, they doubled down and stood by their claims.
That’s antagonizing the parties involved other than DeSantis including Publix and the two Democratic politicians who have debunked “60 Minutes” claims.
New emails between “60 Minutes” and Gov. Ron DeSantis’ office shows indicate just how much of a hit job the show was. They suggest while they asked for responses that they really weren’t interested in actually presenting the responses but were just going to go with the narrative they already had.

(CNS News) – After CBS’s
60 Minutes ran a segment on Sunday that edited the answer given by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) about COVID vaccine distribution in the state, Palm Beach County Mayor Dave Kerner, a Democrat, released a statement describing the
60 Minutes report as “intentionally false.”
“I watched the
60 Minutes segment on Palm Beach County last night and feel compelled to issue this statement,” said Kerner on Apr. 5. “The reporting was not just based on bad information it was intentionally false. I know this because I offered to provide my insight into Palm Beach County s vaccination efforts and
