The Institute for Music and Neurologic Function, part of the Wartburg senior care and services complex in Mount Vernon, is taking part in a trial that uses music and synchronized light therapy to restore brain function in Alzheimer’s patients.

MADISON TWP. A driver sustained minor injuries in a crash Wednesday at the intersection of U.S. 223 and Division Street.
A 70-year-old woman was transported to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Madison Township emergency responders were dispatched at 9:10 a.m. to the intersection of U.S. 223 and Division Street for a crash involving two vehicles, Madison Township Police Lt. David Gentner said. Also providing assistance at the scene was the Adrian Fire Department.
While the investigation into how the crash occurred is ongoing, Gentner said there were no fatalities and the injuries sustained to the occupants of the vehicles were minor and treatable.
