Leif the Lucky, otherwise known as David Elms, says it’s a true joy to kick off the Corner Brook Winter Carnival, which runs from Feb. 16 - 25. He gets emotional while talking to CBC Newfoundland Morning host Bernice Hillier about the opening ritual of emerging from his hut to kick off the carnival and seeing all the kids waiting for him.
