This shooting resulted in the death of 24yearold alice brown. Police say two plainclothed officers were investigating a stolen car, paed at a gas station when they approached her car. They say she took off crashing into buildings and cars. Officers say they shot her to protect bystanders. But the familys attorney may believe she was the one in danger. Theres some suggestions that the officers had not identified themselves as officers and were plainclothed officers and thus coming upon the car, frightened her into a frenzy. Some witnesses have questioned the Police Departments version of events. Others say brown was recklessly putting people and police in danger. Less than two days after a derailment in ontario, canada caused crude oil to burn. The incidents are being watched closely by cities and environmentalists fighting a proposal by phillips 66. These crude trains go through the San Francisco bay watershed, through the mountains, near significant Drinking Water sources for communities all across the state.
