Councillor Saj Malik gives his plans for the LTNs LOW Traffic Neighbourhoods [LTNs] have divided people from across the city for months now – one councillor, however, thinks he has a solution that will make everybody happy. Sajid Malik, Oxford City Councillor for Temple Cowley, says he has a plan to make the LTNs ‘acceptable to most as it’s difficult to make everyone happy’. Mr Malik said he does not want the LTNs removed completely, as he believes some roads do need to be closed – however he says the ‘current plan is too extreme’. The councillor’s plan asks for three LTN barriers to be removed entirely – this includes the LTN barrier at Littlemore Road, Bartholomew Road, Mayfair Road, and Rymers Lane, but add extra precautions such as pedestrian crossing to help slow traffic in the area.
