After falling in three of the past four America East title games (2016, 2018, 2019) the Vermont Catamounts have finally gotten over the hump and are NCAA Tournament bound for the first time in program history, taking down UAlbany 15-10 to capture that first-ever conference title and NCAA Tournament berth.
Following a back-and-forth first half which saw the Catamounts take a narrow 8-7 lead after two goals from Thomas McConvey and Tommy Burke within the final 13 seconds of the half, Vermont stepped on the gas in the third quarter and din’t let up until the final buzzer sounded. The Catamounts put in three straight, including two from Liam Limoges, to start the third, extend their run to five, and take a 12-7 lead.

The UAlbany Great Danes are headed back to the America East title game for the first time since 2018 after taking down the UMBC Retrievers 14-12.
While the Danes rolled early and took a commanding 7-1 lead late in the first quarter, the top-seeded Retrievers weren’t going down that easy. UMBC went on a 6-1 run from the 1:04 mark in the first through the 2:42 mark in the third to cut the Albany lead to 8-7.
Albany veered back on course and used a three-goal run of their own to pull ahead 11-7 with 46 seconds left in the third. However, UMBC was able to use a four-goal run to tie things up at 11 with 9:52 remaining in regulation. Albany’s Kyle Casey and UMBC’s Brandon Galloway traded goals midway through the fourth before two straight from Corey Yunker and Ron John put this one away and sealed the win for the Danes.

Three weeks after Hofstra fell in overtime to No. 11 Delaware in Hempstead, the Pride finished what they started when it mattered the most.
Dylan McIntosh scored five goals to lead fourth-seeded Hofstra’s 10-9 upset effort over the top seeded Blue Hens at Shuart Stadium. Hofstra’s all-time leading scorer and CAA offensive player of the year Ryan Tierney was held scoreless, but the Pride still prevailed.
