The latest exhibit to open at The Art Associates Gallery offers views of vistas far afield, as well as landscapes that are closer to home.
Organized by photographer Chris DeMarco, “Picturing Nature” features works by a dozen photographers who fixed their lenses on the natural world.
Opening the show are several large-scale pieces that take viewers around the globe. Perhaps the most sizable is “Twilight View of the Majella” by David Brickman. It spans several feet across and provides a peaceful, mist-covered view of the mountainous Italian landscape. The dark foreground is dotted with homes and lush rolling hills.

Federal loan servicer Freddie Mac has named Mark Grier as interim chief executive officer, the company announced on Tuesday. Grier will succeed former CEO David Brickman, who resigned from the company in November.
In the brief term between Brickman’s departure and Grier’s naming as interim CEO, Michael Hutchins headed the company as interim president. He has since been named president, and will remain in the role under Grier.
Having served as a board member for Freddie since February of 2020, Grier should be well-positioned to hit the ground running in his new role.
“As a member of the board of directors, Mark Grier is already an invaluable asset to Freddie Mac, bringing more than four decades of experience in finance, risk, markets and capital management,” Sara Mathew, non-executive chair of Freddie Mac’s board of directors, said in a statement. “He is ideally suited to lead the company as we continue a thorough search for a permanent CEO. I thank Mark

(Reuters) - Housing finance company Freddie Mac on Tuesday named board member Mark Grier as its interim chief executive officer to succeed David Brickman, who resigned in November.
Grier joined Freddie Mac’s board in February last year and was the former chief financial officer of Prudential Financial Inc. He was named the vice chairman of the life insurer in 2007.
The newly-appointed interim CEO had led the $3 billion initial public offering of Prudential in 2001, according to Freddie Mac’s website.
Brickman, who stepped down as CEO in January, has now been named as CEO of an agency lending platform backed by mortgage brokerage Meridian Capital Group.
