His niece raised the alarm after returning home from work later that day and realising her uncle wasn t there.
Search parties gathered last night at the Memorial Park in Kloof as the search for Uncle Frans , as he was affectionately known, intensified.
Scores of locals turned up to help look for him.
Coertzen s neighbour, Jacqui Ellis says his body was found not far from his home by members of the Flying Squad. The Upper Highway community is so amazing that everybody arrived in the rain to help find one of our own. Thank you to everybody who came out. There were about 60 residents who came out and went through the streets and fields.
