David Becktel, 54, was pronounced dead at the scene, Tazewell County Coroner Charles Hanley said on Monday.
Hanley said preliminary autopsy results show Becktel died from multiple blunt force injuries from the crash that happened about 3:45 p.m. Friday in the 29000 block of Cooper Road, between Washington and Bell Roads.
Two people who were in the other vehicle declined medical treatment, according to Hanley.
The coroner s office and Illinois State Police are still investigating.

The person who died has been identified.

TAZEWELL COUNTY, Ill. An accident near Cooper and Washington Rd. in Tazewell County Friday afternoon was fatal.
The accident occurred around 3:45 p.m., with one of the drivers being pronounced deceased on the scene by Coroner Charles Hanley at 4:29 p.m.
Both occupants of the second vehicle declined medical treatment.
The name of the deceased will be released following family notification, and an autopsy is scheduled for Monday, May 24, according to Hanley.
