First up is Jennifer Keene whos professor of history and chair of the department of history at Chapman University in southern california. And as you can tell, shes a specialist in the American Military experience in world wor i. She is an awardwinning scholar, her books include the United States and the First World War. Shes also the author of dozens of articles and book chapters and has written, edited and contributed to textbooks and reference works. Her encyclopedia of war in American Society won the prize of the society for military historys best military history reference are book. One of her many articles won the prize for the best military or diplomat bic history essay that was published in historically speaking. And she also edits a peerreviewed online encyclopedia and other digital humanities projectings.

Guest workers were doing an inspection of an area at hanford called 200 east, which is where factory operated plutonium for weapons during the cold war, and they discovered a hole feet. Ground, 400 square the problem was this hole was tunnel, over a waste which the site had used for radioactivelow away waste they didnt know what to do with. There was only eight feet of on top of the tunnel and there was a cavein, and the the radiation t within that tunnel could easily certain sed under conditions. They declared a site area workers , thousands of either had to evacuate or shelter in place while they determine if there was radioactive leak.
