dave a polk county man is behind bars. Accused of killing a Sumter County firefighter. Detectives say Caleb Mckinney was distraught over breaking up with his girlfriend, kayla strayner. They say when she showed up at his house with her new boyfriend wednesday night mckinney darted out of the house with a loaded gun. Investigators say he shot lieutenant Clifford Cofer in the chest 5 times. The bullets just missed staryners 5yearold detectives say mc kinney tried to committ suicide after he broke up with strayner a few months ago. He had no ciminal record. Until now. jen to miami.
