An application for a permit to demolish the house at Westport’s 19 Soundview Drive, in the Compo Beach section, is in process. Built in 1900, the two-story conventional has 1,692 square feet, is situated on a .14-acre property, and changed ownership in Sept. 2020 for $2.7 million. Carriage rides were a popular attraction at tonight’s First Light celebration despite a steady drizzle. The annual First Light Festival was launched last year to fill the void with the end of First Night.
