In ancient times, we wouldve called it beast, the mountain lion. It is really a garden boulder, colorado. It is a beautiful place but in many ways, it has been altered by humankind. When you get this wild animal coming into this artificial landscape, you can cause changes in the behavior of that animal. A mountain lions favorite food is venison. Living on the outskirts of this beautiful city where we have irrigated gardens and lawns the city attracted the deer so we have a deer herd living in downtown boulder. The lions moved back into the area. They discovered there were deer in town so the deer were the lions lured the lions. They discovered they can eat dogs and cats. That is food for them so the lions were learning and they have learned that this is where they will find food. There is food up there too but lots to eat in town. It is not true. Republicans want a good education for every single child in america. We should measure how much we care about education by how much we spend. But how much students learn. Wasted onwe see money the priorities of teachers unions, not children. Education is too important to let policies be dictated by special interests. Education is key to Opening Doors of opportunity and for fighting poverty. It brings us to principle number eight. The best Antipoverty Program is a Strong Family and a good job. Our focus should be on getting people out of poverty by lifting up all people and helping them find work. We need an effective the safety net. The federal government Antipoverty Programs have become mismanaged and ineffective. We should restructure and consolidate them, give them more power to the states and actually measure the results. These are folks i have enjoyed being with and love watching their work. They are two great pros and two great people. Let me do a nutshell of where i am and then i want to get neil and stan and talk about what they are seeing out there. If you go back to the early part of last year, there were two competing scenarios two theories of what the 2014 Midterm Elections could be about. One theory was some of the challenges facing the Republican Party in 2012 would flow into 2014 will stop the other was it would be a classic Midterm Election referendum on the incumbent president and all that entails. Two competing directions and it could have gone either way. In terms of challenges facing the Republican Party, some of them were with key voting groups and some of it was their own, some of the things they were doing. The challenge of min
