WHATEVER YOU DO, DON T MENTION THE K WORD

RSN927 WHATEVER YOU DO, DON’T MENTION THE “K” WORD April 11, 2021 10:15 am By Matt Stewart, Racing Editor Note to self. Jamie Kah today. Find something else, other than Kah and the galloping global sisterhood. Stewart, you buffoon, you are obsessed with it. You can’t even defend their right to privacy without it appearing to be saying the opposite. You’ve obviously lost it, so move on. Focus on something else and whatever you do, don’t stay up and watch the Grand National from Aintree, just in case Rachael Blackmore wins the darn thing. Not that she could anyway, especially after that bad fall at Aintree on Friday.

WILLIAMS HORSES RETURN AS MACEDON LODGE REMAINS UNSOLD

RSN927 WILLIAMS HORSES RETURN AS MACEDON LODGE REMAINS UNSOLD February 3, 2021 2:33 pm By Matt Stewart, Racing Editor  Danny O’Brien confirmed today that three high-class Lloyd Williams-owned stayers had not returned to his stable after competing last spring. This comes as Williams reported today that his entire racing squad would be trained at Macedon Lodge under the care of Robert Hickmott, who had been Williams’ private trainer from 2009 until Hickmott went out on his own with a Caulfield stable in 2017. Hickmott has continued to use Macedon Lodge for time to time, with imported horse Schabau and Django Freedman. Hickmott had trained Williams Melbourne Cup winners Green Moon (2012) and Almandin (2016).

Tuesday jumpout for Sir Dragonet

Link to Share Leading trainers Ciaron Maher and Dave Eustace are to release some of their expected autumn stars on Tuesday with Cox Plate champion Sir Dragonet headlining a quality line-up at the weekly jump-outs at Caulfield. Sir Dragonet is listed to contest the first jump-out against seven rivals, including stablemates How Womantic and Southern France. Sir Dragonet took the Cox Plate last spring at his Australian debut before finishing sixth in the Melbourne Cup after failing to stay the 3200-metre trip. The flying three-year-old Anders takes on stablemate and Caulfield Guineas placegetter Grandslam in the second heat for Maher/Eustace while the trainers will saddle Muntaseera, Rathlin and Jet Propulsion in the third heat.
