18th Acosta Cup: 8 teams to compete in female football tournament

Eight teams of female players are set to compete in the 18th Acosta Cup on Saturday, November 11, at the University of the Philippines-Mindanao (UP-Min) football field. The cup will be participated by eight teams: the Davao City National High School (DCNHS), Sto. Niño Football Club, Lasang Football Club, DDS Perm, Holy Cross of Davao College (HCDC), JT’s Manukan CR7 Foodtruck, RMC-Solido, and Football Club Nabunturan. The winners will receive trophies and medals, and special awards will be given for the Milo Grit Award, Cong. Paolo Duterte MVP Award, the MSA Award for Outstanding Sportsmanship, and the Mayor Baste Award for Excellence in Teamwork.

DCNHS, driver agree on wall repair

The driver responsible for damaging a school wall in Davao City has agreed to have it repaired by Friday, October 20. According to City High Principal Evelyn Magno, the driver visited the school on Wednesday and discussed the repair of the fence. The driver requested an extension for the repair deadline until Friday, to which Magno agreed. In response to the incident, Magno directed the school's security guard to temporarily seal the hole in the wall and stationed a security guard in the area. Magno also reminded drivers to prioritize safety when on the road.
