I find this rhetoric unacceptable,“ D. Žalimas said on Tuesday at the continuation of the East European Studies Centre's (RESC) series of debates with presidential candidates.
In January, 23.5% of respondents would have voted for G. Nausėda, seeking a second term in the Daukantas Square Palace. According to the poll, the current Head of State is equally popular among all social and demographic groups. In December, his support stood at 25.8%.
"It's a pity that the discussion has dragged on to the point where some explications have to be written into law, but if there is no other way to resolve the issue, and I still want to believe that there will be another way to resolve the issue, then it would probably be better to have it on paper. And then nobody could interpret anything," Ms Šimonytė told LRT Radio.
