KOTA KINABALU: Datuk Peter Anthony played coy over whether he would contest in the upcoming general polls as he named two more candidates from his Parti Kesejahteraan Demokratik Masyarakat (KDM) on Tuesday (Oct 25).
THE Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) is a platform that unites parties representing the multi-racial people in Sabah so that the Federal would listen to Sabah, said Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor who is also the GRS Chairman.
“I hope the people will understand the basics of the GRS foundation.
“We must not repeat past mistakes. We were easily split and unable to claim our rights because we were disunited. Enough is enough. We do not need to fight anymore,” he said at the Jelajah GRS Kota Marudu in Kota Marudu on Oct 16
CHIEF Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor said the State Government is going ahead with its plan to table the Anti-Party Hopping Bill at the State Legislative Assembly (DUN) sitting expected to be held at the end of next month.
“We will bring or introduce this Bill during the DUN sitting. This Bill cannot be tabled now because the General Election will be held soon.
“But, the Bill would require support from the opposition because we need to have a two-thirds majority,” he said
Parti Kesejahteraan Demokratik Masyarakat (KDM) confirmed it will field candidates to contest in two parliamentary constituencies - Kota Marudu and Kota Kinabalu – in the coming 15th General Election (GE15)
