KUALA LUMPUR, April 11 Fugitive businessman Datuk Seri Nicky Liow Soon Hee, who is wanted for multiple money laundering and commercial crimes cases, was today detained by authorities after he surrendered to police following a year-long hunt. According to Bukit Aman Commercial Crime.
KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): Two Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) officers detained under the Security Offences (Special Measures) Act 2012 (Sosma), and believed to be linked to the Nicky Gang organised crime syndicate, have withdrawn their habeas corpus application seeking their immediate release.
Their lawyer Latheefa Koya told the High Court here on Monday (May 24) that her clients, aged 41 and 42, had withdrawn their applications as they were released on police bail on May 18.
Following this, Judge Datuk Ahmad Shahrir Mohd Salleh dismissed the applications.
The court had set Monday to hear the habeas corpus applications, which named Johor police chief Datuk Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay, a police officer, the Inspector-General of Police, the Home Minister and the Malaysian Government as the first to fifth respondents.

JOHOR BAHRU: Interpol has issued a Red Notice against businessman Datuk Seri Nicky Liow Soon Hee, who heads the ‘Nicky Gang’, and his assistant.
Johor Police chief Datuk Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay (pix) said Interpol issued the Red Notice against Liow two days ago (April 20) while that against his assistant, who is known as Niu Zhe, 31, a Chinese national, was issued yesterday.
The notice was issued following a request by Malaysian police to locate and detain Liow. (An Interpol Red Notice is a request to law enforcement worldwide to locate and provisionally arrest a person pending extradition, surrender, or similar legal action.)

JOHOR BARU, April 22 An Interpol Red Notice has been issued to locate and arrest fugitive businessman Datuk Seri Nicky Liow Soon Hee and his Chinese national wife, said Datuk Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay today.
The Johor police chief said the Red Notice for Liow was granted last Tuesday (April 20) while the one for his wife New Tze was issued yesterday.
“Both have been served with the Interpol’s Red Notice,” he said at the Johor police contingent headquarters today.
