KOTA KINABALU: Sabah and Sarawak are pursuing one-third representation in Parliament as this was what was promised to both regions when Malaysia was formed in 1963, says Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun.
Sabah recorded 180 Covid-19 cases on Monday, a drop by 32 cases compared to Sunday’s 212.
“The total number of test samples is 2,050 on Monday compared to Sunday’s 2,333. However, the positivity rate is higher, which is 10.20 per cent compared to 9.56 per cent previously,” said Sabah’s Covid-19 spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun
Sabah’s daily Covid-19 cases increased to 297 Thursday, an increase of 32, compared to Wednesday’s 265.
“Today’s (Thursday) positivity rate is 10.83 per cent, which is not much different from yesterday’s (Wednesday) 11.28 per cent. There was a slight increase in the number of test samples to 2,909 compared to 2,864 on Wednesday,” said Sabah’s Covid-19 spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun.
Kota Kinabalu again recorded triple-digit infections with 114 cases, an increase of 39 compared to Wednesday’s figure.
Six other districts recorded double-digit cases, led by Sandakan with 44 cases (+8), Tuaran 25 cases (+14), Putatan 20 cases (+/-), Tawau 13 cases (+1), Penampang 12 cases (-13) and Lahad Datu 11 cases (-13). No new infections were reported in seven districts, namely Beluran, Kalabakan, Kuala Penyu, Kunak, Pitas, Tenom and Tongod
KOTA KINABALU: A campaign to encourage the public to report corruption to the authorities should be carried out after a survey by Transparency Malaysia showed that 52% of the people did not bother to report it, says Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun.
