PITAS: The State Government, through the Disaster Assistance Centre, has provided food basket assistance to 4,900 family heads (KIR) in 76 villages affected by the recent flood here.
Science, Technology and Innovation Assistant Minister, Datuk Seri Dr Ruddy Awah, who is also Pitas Assemblyman, said the assistance was given to villagers stuck in their respective villages and could not get access to food supply because the roads were flooded following the continuous rain for a week.
“The Pitas Assemblyman’s Office and I myself have continuously distributed assistance to all the flood victims.
