KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 27 January is not even over, and already Malaysia has 16 federal and state lawmakers, including ministers, who were this month confirmed to have contracted Covid-19.

They are listed chronologically according to the dates they tested positive or were informed of their results, instead of according to the dates when their results were announced to the public:
PUTRAJAYA: National Unity Minister Datuk Halimah Mohamed Sadique has tested positive for Covid-19.
A statement from the ministry said that Halimah underwent a screen test on Jan 18 and the Health Ministry on Tuesday (Jan 19) confirmed that she is positive. Datuk Halimah will now undergo treatment and quarantine as instructed. Her condition will be monitored by health authorities in Johor Baru. While undergoing quarantine, the minister will continue to monitor the National Unity Ministry s affairs to ensure all activities go smoothly. Datuk Halimah expresses her heartfelt thanks to those who offer their well wishes and prayers and would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused due to this development, said the ministry on Tuesday.

mStar, the Star s Malay language daily, reported that Khamarulazlan received the test results on Saturday (Jan 16) at 7.26pm. At that time, I had just finished buying groceries and my husband then informed me that he had tested positive for the virus. As his wife, I was sad when I heard the news and quickly made preparations to place my husband in another room downstairs to isolate him from us, especially the children, she told mStar.
Rita or her real name, Erni Dekritawati Yuliana Buhari, noted that her husband was down with fever and had actually been unwell for the past few days.
