USA is fast declining. No doubt that USA has been a declining superpower for some years. It turn-tailed in Vietnam, Iraq, and worst case it surrendered and ran away from a rag-tag Taliban army after spending more than USD1 trillion, 20 years, dropping countless bombs and sacrificing many young Americans’ lives for nothing.
The photo of the last American flight out of Afghanistan with disparate people clinging on the plane on the runway is final proof of America’s sharp declining power.
A genuine superpower doesn’t do these shameful things and would not allow itself to be caught in such a compromising stupid/embarrassing position.
No stretch of the imagination that USA has no guts to fight Russia which has more nuclear bombs than combined number of the Western alliance. America’s only option is a proxy war in Ukraine.
The Ukraine PM is stupid enough to believe the American lies and is now suffering grievously for it
CM Datuk Seri Hajiji gave specific instructions to Chief Conservator of Forest, Datuk Fred Kugan, TAS [Timber Association of Sabah] and SEAC [Sabah Economic Advisory Council] to produce a comprehensive policy recommendation for ITP [Industrial Tree Plantations] and downstream industry in early 2021.
Hajiji’s priorities were that, inter alia, the ITP should benefit Sabah’s economy and Sabahans, especially in the creation of jobs, value adds and investment conducive. Challenging objectives as it has never been done before!
Hajiji announced his ITP policy initiative in his keynote address at the SIBES [Sabah International Business and Economic Submit] on 17th January 2022
POORLY managed, outdated KKIA is bad for Sabah. First, allow me to inform you that the Sabah Government under our Chief Minister Hajiji, has attracted RM47.36 billion of investments between 2021 and now, many of which are being implemented already. Sabah is beginning to recover from the Covid Pandemic and is still sorting out the impacts of economic chaos from the Russian/Ukraine war. The message to you as Chairman of MAB is that Sabah can’t afford for our investors and tourists to be greeted on arrival by KKIA in its present state. Dirty is one thing. Out of date/lack of facilities are another
Very rightly,CM Datuk Seri Hajiji has been paying a lot of attention to overhaul the GLCs. He has issued several statements on GLCs, the latest of which are on 4th and 9th July 2022. His latest is showing his increasing concern. He now expects GLCs not to enter any lopsided agreements. Of the 250 GLCs, only a few can produce creditable performance. Historically, most GLCs have become drags, hindrances, not assets to our economic development. There were good under TS Harris, then went downhill. TS Musa managed to restore many of them
Sabah deserves better KKIA management. As a Sabahan, I am disgusted up to my eyeballs by MAB’s criminal negligence of KKIA over the years. MAB has utterly failed to maintain KKIA to a minimum standard expected of an international airport. No doubt you already know that KKIA is Malaysia’s 2nd busiest airport, millions of Malaysians and foreign tourists use KKIA each year.
KKIA is, I am sure you also know, is one of your largest revenue sources. From Sabah’s perspective, KKIA is extremely important to our economy. Tourism has given more than RM8 billion in receipt, a major GDP contributor of Malaysia, a main source of employment for Sabah which is suffering from highest unemployment. Sabah’s success in tourism is despite of KKIA’s appalling condition
