As Malaysians prepare for National Day 2021, it is time for citizens to cultivate a broader understanding on the true meaning of independence and look beyond the nation’s colonial past.
“To expand the significance of National Day, this event should not be limited to celebrating the country’s liberation from colonial rule in a physical sense but should also lead to a better insight on our roles and responsibilities as citizens to ensure Malaysia’s stability, harmony and prosperity,” said State Assistant Minister, Datuk Isnin bin Aliashnih.
