KUCHING: The state Forest Department will continue to step up enforcement against illegal logging in Sarawak, says Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan.
The Deputy Chief Minister said the department had been taking action against illegal logging activities even during the Covid-19 pandemic. We will continue to strengthen our operations against illegal logging. We have carried out a number of operations and there have been some arrests, with offenders compounded or brought to court.
