Seeing to the trees for proper forest management

KOTA KINABALU: About 4.75 million trees have been planted in Sabah, accounting for about 60% of the target set by the state for 2023.

RESEARCH and Development (R&D) in Sabah Forestry Department is undertaken by the Forest Research Centre (FRC), based in Sepilok, some 23km from Sandakan town.   As pointed out by the Chief Conservator of Forests, Datuk Frederick Kugan, the centre generates knowledge and technology in support of sustainable forest management in Sabah.
