Kota Kinabalu: The State Government should designate Tungku as a full district in order to spur economic growth there.

(pic) (Parti Warisan Sabah-Tungku) said Tungku, which has been a sub-district for two decades, had been the largest tax contributor to Lahad Datu thanks to the plantation sector, including Felda.
He said the status of land there, most of which is designated for agriculture, could be changed in order to include other sectors such as commerce, industry and housing development, adding that this would provide other tax revenues.
