KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 10): Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) announced today Datuk Baharin Din s appointment as president and chief executive officer (CEO) of the Malaysian government-controlled utility, effective March 1, 2021. Baharin is appointed by the special shareholder, Minister of Finance (Inc) as president/CEO and non-independent executive director of TNB for a period of three years with effect from March 1, 2021 until Feb 29, 2024, TNB said in a statement to Bursa Malaysia today.
According to TNB, Baharin has been the company s chief distribution network officer since 2018.
Prior to joining TNB in 2011, Baharin was Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd managing director between 2007 and 2011, according to TNB today.
