Kuala Lumpur: The Sessions Court on Friday was told that Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) had sent a letter to Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak denying that it had given support to Asli Jati Engineering Sdn Bhd for the awarding of the maintenance and services work for mechanical and electrical (M&E) systems contract at the university. Najib was the then Prime Minister and Finance Minister. Referring to the letter dated Nov 26, 2014 issued by UMS, Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) investigating officer Raja Mohd Shasrizam Raja Nik said the denial was following the action of two UMS officers issuing letters of support to the company owned by Datuk Peter Anthony, who is also former Sabah Infrastructure Development Minister.

Published on: Tuesday, April 20, 2021 By: Bernama Kuala Lumpur: The hearing of former Sabah Infrastructure Development Minister Datuk Peter Anthony’s (pic) case on using false documents has been postponed to May 3 as he has been found to be a close contact of a Covid-19 patient and ordered to be in self-quarantine. His lawyer, Datuk D. Senthinathan, told the court that Peter had been ordered to be in quarantine for 10 days from April 16 to 26 and requested the court to postpone Monday’s hearing. Monday was supposed to be the fifth day hearing of the case, where ninth prosecution witness, former ULink Property Sdn Bhd Chairman Datuk Abdullah Mohd Said, would continue his testimony.
