The BIMP-EAGA Senior Official Meeting (SOM)/Strategic Planning Meeting (SPM) was held via video conferencing on Thursday, chaired by Director of Regional Development, Economic Planning Unit, Prime Minister’s Office, Malaysia Dato’ Ahmad Zamri bin Khairuddin.
BIMP-EAGA Facilitation Centre (BIMP-FC), Asian Development Bank (ADB) and chair of BIMP-EAGA Business Council attended.
Brunei was represented by Permanent Secretary (Economy) Dr Hajah May Fa’ezah binti Haji Ahmad Ariffin and officers from the Trade Division at the Ministry of Finance and Economy.
The meeting took note on the presentations by chairs of the eight BIMP-EAGA Clusters namely Transport, Trade and Investment, Power and Energy Infrastructure, Agribusiness, Tourism, Environment, and Socio-Cultural and Education.
