PASIR MAS, March 15 The Environment and Water Ministry is still trying to determine what caused the water of the Tanjung Tuan mangrove forests in Melaka to turn black although preliminary investigations show that the situation was not due to oil spills.
Minister Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man said investigations so far showed that the water was not polluted and not harmful to marine life.

PASIR MAS, 20 Feb: There is still soil movement at the Sungai Kelantan bank near Dataran Air Muleh, Kampung Jalan Pohon Celagi here, which collapsed three days ago.
According to the Pasir Mas Disaster Management Secretariat, cracks have begun to appear at several houses in the area and groundwater flow could also be heard.
As such, the public is advised to exercise caution and avoid going to the area to prevent any untoward incident from taking place.
Meanwhile, Pasir Mas district police chief, ACP Mohd Roy Suhaimi Sarif said, 12 police officers and personnel have been deployed to monitor the area round-the-clock.
PASIR MAS: Fifteen families have been evacuated after the Sungai Kelantan riverbank near Dataran Air Muleh, Kampung Jalan Pohon Celagi here, collapsed.
Pasir Mas district police chief Asst Comm Mohamad Roy Suhaimi Sarif said police were alerted of a small crack on the road near the scene at 10.30pm on Tuesday but a massive landslide occurred hours later between 2.30am and 6.30am yesterday.
“The incident caused the river to break its bank, which left a house destroyed and eight others on the verge of collapse, but there were no casualties reported, ” he told reporters at the landslide site yesterday.
ACP Mohamad Roy said that following the incident, 15 families comprising 50 people were told to evacuate immediately.
