then talk about something. but here several weeks ago, the white house coming out and saying september 20th, that s when we re going to start boosters. and the fda hasn t said what they think about boosters or said when they think people should get boosters. these people are working very hard. we are told there are serious morale issues at an agency we ve relied on more than a year and a half. jim? all these decisions, of course, influenced by the data. and we re waiting, for instance, on data for vaccines for children under 12. but cdc has new plans going forward for how it shares this data? what s your reporting? that s right. so, jim, the cdc says anyone who has been watching the cdc for years knows they are very careful, they are precise, and some people would tell you they are very slow at getting data out. they want to dot every i and cross every t. sometimes that s not good for
so i i think we need to be clear on messaging, and you ve been very clear, chris. number one, get vaccinated. vaccines will protect you against hospitalizations and deaths. and if we can eliminate the incredible levels of this virus, we won t have the variants anymore. but number two, for those people who are not vaccinated and now even for those who are vaccinated, we have to use imperfect measures. and a mask is one of them. i was pretty upset about the cdc not being transparent about their data three days ago. should have put the data out. but having looked at it today, i m really concerned. i do believe even as a vaccinated person, the levels of virus, if you do get infected, are very high and will transmit to other people. masks work 50% of the time in preventing it. 25% of the time for you getting it. but it s something we really need to do until more people get vaccinated. right. i m going to be beat everyone over the head with this. please get vaccinated.

dismissed the data on one shot in kids, there s data from tel aviv. our public health officials have dismissed it. data out of tel aviv said one dose with 100% effective in kids 12-15. you re seen as an anti vaxer if you point to that study and disagreeing with the committee. the fda never convened the experts when they had the covid vaccine for kids. they never do that. that is very atypical. martha: a lot of reasons that may be happening. one of the things that is vulnerable again is back to school. you know, when you have this discussion about the delta variant and kids having to be masked even if they re vaccinated in school, you have a lot of questions raised. the pediatric association said you re going to need more money in schools for making them
