And im allison latos. The incident happened today. Elsa found out how the gun was found and what steps the school is taking. Reporter one parent told me tonight she learned the gun had been on the fourth grader all day. And that has parents outraged. The school confirmed to channel 9 that students told their teacher this afternoon one of their classmates had a gun. They say the teacher followed safety protocall, contacted the School Resource officer and administration. Students were removed from the classroom and parents got a message from the principal after dismissal. They could not tell us where the student got the weapon. The type, or whether or not it was loaded. One parent told me she wants answers and is scared for her childs safety. What if the child got ahold of this gun and it went off .
