The state government has approved a budget of ₹2.36 crore for the renovation of the Dashashwamedh temple ahead of Mahakumbh-2025. The first instalment of ₹1 crore has been released for the project. The renovation work will begin immediately and preparations for inviting bids have already started. The temple, located in Daraganj area, is one of the oldest in the city and has two identical Shivalingas. The renovation plan includes making new stairs, two entrances, marble flooring, railing, and waterproofing the roof.
