Article by Social Share The man who reportedly went missing while swimming at Brighton, St Michael today has been identified as 21-year-old Javonne Andre Jalani Moise of Dash Valley, St George. Police said Moise is approximately 5’8″ tall, “his hair is plaited in a corn row style, and he was bareback”. At the time Moise was wearing a yellow and red beach shorts. A search which was being conducted by the Police Marine Unit and the Barbados Coast Guard was postponed at 6:40 p.m. due to poor lighting conditions. The search will resume at first light tomorrow. Police said it was reported that around 4:15 p.m. today a group of five young men went to Brighton Beach, St Michael in the area known as the “Hot Pot”.

Social Share The body of Javonne Moise was recovered about 8:20 a.m. today. It washed ashore about 50 metres north of the search area where he was last seen. The 21-year-old of Dash Valley, St George went missing while swimming at Brighton, St Michael on Sunday. The Police Marine Unit and Barbados Coast Guard started a search for the missing man, but it was postponed around 6:40 p.m. due to poor lighting conditions. The search resumed this morning. Search for Jovoni Moise postponed due to poor lighting Article by May 9, 2021 The search for a man  who went missing while swimming at Brighton Beach this afternoon has been postponed. The missing man has been identified as Jovoni Andre Jalani Moise, 21, of Dash Valley, St George. Police say that around 4:15 p.m., a group of five young men went to the beach and two of them were in the water swimming when one of them got into difficulties and disappeared under the water. Moise is approximately 5’8″ tall, his hair is plaited in a corn row style, and was wearing yellow and red beach shorts.
