By: Anthea Peter Text Size: Kota Kinabalu: Sabah has registered 100 Covid-19 clusters cumulatively as of Monday, with Kota Kinabalu contributing the highest number with 22 clusters, said Sabah’s Covid-19 spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun (pic).  Sandakan recorded the second highest tally with 18 clusters, followed by Tawau with 16 clusters.  “Of these, 58 clusters are still active whereas 42 have ended,” he said this in a virtual press conference, Monday.  Meanwhile, Masidi, who is also State Local Government and Housing Minister, said the Enhanced Movement Control Order (Emco) in Kg Desa Bajau and Kg Dasar Baru, Lahad Datu, which was scheduled to end today (Tuesday), will be extended for another two weeks.

Covid-19: 58 clusters still active in Sabah, says Masidi

9:03 PM MYT KOTA KINABALU: Fifty-eight infection clusters from the total of 100 clusters in Sabah are still active, says Datuk Masidi Manjun. The Sabah Local Government and Housing Minister said the data was based on the state Health Department’s record as of Monday (Dec 14). “Out of the 100 clusters, 42 clusters have ended. “From the total figure, the districts recording the highest number of clusters are Kota Kinabalu (22) followed by Sandakan (18) and Tawau (16),” he said in his daily updates at a virtual press conference on Monday. Meanwhile, Masidi added that the enhanced movement control order (MCO) in Kg Desa Bajau and Kg Dasar Baru in Lahad Datu initially slated to end on Tuesday (Dec 15), has been extended as the number of active cases is still high.
