The recently completed St John Building on Wai-iti Rd, Timaru, was opened for the public to view for the first time on Saturday.
A building that is hoped will become “the home of emergency response in South Canterbury” hosted its first public open day on Saturday. More than 500 people attended the event at the new St John building on Wai Iti Rd, with South Canterbury territorial manager Darryn Grigsby calling it a “really positive day” for the organisation. “It’s been a long time coming, and we know the community has really supported us to get to this point, so we thought it was important the community got a chance to look through it,” Grigsby said.
