Two new School Committee members in Hudson after election

Select Board Two seats were left open for Board of Selectmen after two incumbents - John Parent and Joseph Durant - decided not to run again. “I am excited to start the next phase of this journey and serve the residents of Hudson,” wrote Shawn Sadowski on a campaign Facebook page. He also thanked those who helped with the campaign, his family and the voters. “I will promise to do my best to help Hudson move forward and continue to improve.” Sadowski, who has lived in Hudson for most of his life, said in an interview a few weeks ago he hoped to tackle tax rates, the school system, diversity issues and water and sewer rates, and planned to work on community outreach from the Board of Selectmen.

Election season is heating up in Hudson as two residents plan to run for the Board of Selectmen

HUDSON Election season is heating up, with two familiar faces pulling nomination papers to serve on the Board of Selectmen. Dandrick “Ricky” Gelin and Shawn Sadowski have each taken out papers. Incumbents Joseph Durant and John Parent have not pulled papers as of last week, said Town Clerk Joan Wordell. Sadowski a member of the Finance Committee for the past three years and also a member of the Packard Street Reuse Committee plans to be a voice for working-class residents, if elected. “I noticed there wasn’t a true representation of the working class of this town,” said Sadowski, a machinist for more than three decades.
