The second mass vaccination centre in Hertfordshire has opened today in a push to make more vaccination slots possible. While smaller vaccination centres have opened in the local area, some residents might be asked to book slots at Hertfordshire’s mass vaccination centres. Avanti Meadows Primary School, a new school in Bishops Stortford, will utilise its unused space as a Covid-19 mass vaccination centre from today (February 1). The school was set to first open in the September 2020 Autumn term, but the school is now expected to open by September 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Instead of leaving the grounds unused, Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust (HCT) is using its car park and the school itself to administer the vaccine.
