Kentucky State Police Troopers along with crews from the Lily Fire and Rescue responded to a call at a home on Spring Cut Circle this week to help ambulance crews already on scene. Three people were suffering from carbon monoxide poisoning. Emergency responders found Tony and Darlene Ragland along with their six-year-old grandson in the home. All were transported to local hospitals. Investigators say 61-year old Darlene was pronounced dead at the hospital. Tony and the grandson were treated and released at University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington. Troopers say the power went out in the home and the family had put a generator in the garage with no ventilation. State troopers are taking this moment to remind people about the dangers of carbon monoxide as many still wait for power.
