Amarillo homicide suspect nabbed in Houston

Darius Qumaine Allen, who was wanted in connection with an Amarillo homicide, has been located by the Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force in Houston, according to a news release from the Amarillo Police Department.
Allen was taken into custody and booked into the Harris County Jail. He is being held on two warrants out of Potter County, Murder and Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
On July 17 at 2:01 p.m., APD officers were dispatched to a residence in the 100 block of South Tennessee Street on an assault. When officers arrived, they located Barry Ray Hemphill, a 42-year-old male, deceased from a gunshot wound to the upper body, according to the release.

Darius Quamine Allen was arressted by the Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force and booked into the Harris County Jail.
Officials said he is being held on two warrants out of Potter County for murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
The shooting occurred at a home in the 100 block of S. Tennessee Street on July 17.
