DARIEN The absentee ballot process will work a bit differently for the upcoming special election to replace state Sen. Carlo Leone, who represents the 27th District, including parts of Darien and Stamford.
Town Clerk Donna Rajczewski said while absentee ballot applications were mailed without being requested to voters for the November 2020 election, in this case, the ballots must be actively requested in Darien.

DARIEN, CT A Special Election will be held in Darien and Stamford on March 2 for the purpose of filling the state Senate seat of Carlo Leone, a Democrat who resigned last month to take a position in the administration of Gov. Ned Lamont. Leone represented the 27th District, which encompasses portions of the two communities.
Polls for the residents of the 27th District will open at 6 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. on March 2, but there will not be Election Day Registration for this Special Election, according to Darien s Registrar of Voters.
