By Aziah Siid | Word In Black - Despite the CROWN Act, educators are still punishing Black children for wearing braids, locs, and other natural hairstyles, despite the fact that the legislation has since spread to 24 states.
The CROWN Act, which took effect Sept. 1 in Texas, is intended to prohibit race-based hair discrimination and bars employers and schools from penalizing people.
