Darden Elementary will move to all virtual learning December 15
SOUTH BEND, Ind. Darden Elementary School will move to all virtual learning starting December 15 and lasting through Winter Break.
In a letter to families, Principal Patty Karban said the action was being taken due to a shortage of teachers in the building.
The shortage is a result of teachers having to quarantine because of direct contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19, according to Karban.
The school hopes to resume using the hybrid in-person model when students return from break on January 4.
Curbside meal kit pickup will be available at Darden on December 16 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
