PAPER BALLOTS BEING RECONSIDERED
Coun. Dave Boushy appears to have changed his mind about including paper ballots as an option for voters in Sarnia’s 2022 municipal election.

The councillor voted in February as part of the 5-4 majority supporting online-only voting and against the extra $218,000 expense for a hybrid system that included traditional paper ballots.
On Monday, he was was one of five on council to vote in favour of a reconsideration of that decision.
Council will debate the matter again at its March 22 meeting, said Mayor Mike Bradley, who voted for the reconsideration along with Boushy, and Couns. Margaret Bird, Bill Dennis and George Vandenberg.
