Satellite and radar showing us that we have a fair amount of clouds that have been streaming into the area and that trend will continue but well see at least partly sunny skies today. Lets look at these numbers. First thing, its already 49 degrees in philadelphia. So, the trend from yesterday of the mild air continues through the morning. Its 48 in allentown, 50 degrees in millville. And its 53 degrees this morning in dover. Temperatures arent staying mild, though. Theyre getting back closer to average at least. By 7 00 a. M. , were at 42. Were at 44 at lunchtime. A few degrees above average. At 3 oclock, 45. At 5 oclock, 42. And at 7 oclock, 39. The difference is though with the winds switching to the westnorthwest youre going to feel the chill this afternoon so even though temperatures are cooler than yesterday the wind chill will be a factor as well. Lets look at where temperatures will be. 47 for your high today. So normally we wou
Gotten the message already you dont want to be on 95 in this area of croydon bucks county its an absolute mess. Theyre thinking maybe by 6 oclock they can get it reopened but i dont know. Looks like they still have some work to do. So, what do you do instead . Head over to route one, the super highway and boulevard. Then you can go to woodhaven road and from there get back on 95 or stay more local on roads like hulmeville road or 13 or state road but 95 remains closed both ways this morning in croydon bucks county. Luckily our other overnight work zones along 95 by cottman, the betsy ross bridge and the airport have all cleared out. Lets check our overnight zone on the schuylkill expressway. Gone here, too. Eastbound lanes are reopened. They were supposed to close the westbound lanes overnight but they closed the eastbound ones instead. Bottom line is everythings least on the schuylkill well be okay, at least for now, karen. Thats very hopeful. Lets take a look right now at the weather
Getting by so we are seeing a southbound backlog. What happened overnight was they were trying to install a new sign using a crane and the sign ended up weighing 15,000 pounds more than they expected to. So, reports are that the sign fell from the crane and then had to be cleaned up. Thats why 95 was closed overnight in both directions here just south of 413. As we come out here you can see the southbound backlog that remains with that one lane being blocked by 413. Were parked in the ongoing Construction Zone. Especially if youre coming southbound along 95 in bucks county this morning i would still think alternates. Come down one to woodhaven and from woodhaven get back to 95 southbound or if you want to stay local use hulmeville road or state road. 13 bristol pike has been kind of busy. Coming southbound i would still avoid 95 northbound. Things are clearing up. On the big picture so far not so bad on other chunks of 95, the boulevard, the schuylkill and the blue route, most speeds s
Lots of construction out there as well, also have an accident. Oh, boy. And the rain just getting underway. So let the games begin as they say yes you know the rain hasnt even been coming down that heavily but so much snow has melted that you have pondinng and the windshield wipers may be flashing, but note that the heavier rain at least on this scale of the map is certainly confined to our west. We going to see heavier rain throughout the course of the day. But you know my advice is this walk out the door with the umbrella but if you havent stepped outside yet wait until you feel how mild it is. It really feels like spring. Look at reading. Good grief. It is 60 degrees there that warmth is being shoved in here all in advance though, of this more potent storm system. So while this is primarily rain producing system for the area very, very cold air eventually does come in its wake so, it is going to be a little sense of weather whiplash for us basically for the next two days. But again,
