Daraz supports PM s Initiative of Koi Bhooka Nahin Soye Ga in collaboration with Saylani Welfare Trust

- KARACHI, Pakistan: As part of the government’s Ehsaas Program, Prime Minister Imran Khan launched the “Koi Bhooka Nahin Soyega” initiative to provide for the underprivileged and work towards making sure no one is left hungry in the Country. Daraz takes part in this drive by providing its platform to individuals around the world who want to donate to this program. Addressing the launch ceremony in Islamabad in March, Imran Khan said that he wishes that the initiative would “One day, these vans would feed people across Pakistan.” Last year, Daraz collected more than Rs 10 million in its Ramadan online donation drive and this year we would like to collect more through our platform to support substantial initiatives like this one initiated by the premier and Saylani Welfare Trust.

Daraz MD appointed as Goodwill Ambassador for Habitat Humanity

Habitat for Humanity Sri Lanka, an international non-profit organization dedicated towards providing every family in Sri Lanka with a safe and stable place to call home, appointed Rakhil Fernando, the Managing Director of Daraz as its Goodwill Ambassador. The announcement significantly took place on December 1st 2020, widely known as ‘Giving Tuesday’ – a global day of generosity and charity. Habitat for Humanity Sri Lanka is no stranger to Rakhil Fernando and Daraz, as it has been an active charity partner on Daraz Cares, the CSR arm of Sri Lanka’s largest online marketplace.
