Last night one of the briefest, yet most trailed guest appearances in Line Of Duty appeared to come to an end when the character of Marcus Thurwell (played by James Nesbitt) appeared to be discovered dead in his Spanish villa, along with his wife. Two bodies were discovered by Spanish authorise, while AC-12 viewed the scene back in England, via a night vision livestream.
This means we didn’t actually meet Thurwell IRL. We saw the image on his police file, a grainy CCTV shot of him in Spain, and then an unclear video feed of what appeared to be a decomposing body, which Spanish police appeared to say was in fact Thurwell, but he never actually appeared on screen.
Line of Duty viewers don t believe James Nesbitt s character is dead
Fans of the BBC police corruption show are in disbelief as the huge guest star only appeared in pictures

Line of Duty s past series confirm Ted Hastings isn t H in major clues Mirror 2 hrs ago Charlotte Tutton
Line of Duty viewers are divided as new clues appear to hint Superintendent Ted Hastings is the final member of H , with the net possibly finally closing in on the mystery corrupt officer.
In series five, viewers got the bombshell that H could actually be four people, rather than one shady individual bent copper.
Those who have already been identified are Dot Cottan, Derek Hilton and Senior Legal Counsel Gill Biggeloe, leaving us with one final name to discover.
Line of Duty writers have been dropping endless clues to keep us guessing, but perhaps past episodes from older series are also a clue to who isn t the mystery corrupt officer.
