Swinging Witch shows off new beer garden ahead of reopening

The newly transformed beer garden at the Swinging Witch in Northwich. For licensee Danny Barton, the road back has been long, with plenty of hard work required to get everything ready on time. He said: It’s taken some really hard work after the floods, there’s been days we wanted to give up but when we see our amazing customers in the town and they are so supportive and enthusiastic about us opening we knew we needed to continue the fight. We have personally ploughed money into the refurb to make the premises more and more inviting for the whole of the town.

Government roadmap welcomed by Northwich bars and pubs

NORTHWICH pub and bar owners have been reacting to the four step roadmap announced by the Prime Minister on Monday. As part of his plans to ease England out of its third, and hopefully last, national lockdown, Boris Johnson said restaurants, bars and pubs can open for outdoor eating and drinking from April 12, at the earliest. The third national lockdown, which began on January 4, means the route out, although clear, is still another seven weeks away, with some calling on the government to help businesses survive until then. Pete Naylor, one of the four owners of The Hart in Hartford, said he can t wait to welcome back customers but stressed there was still a long way to go .
