Things like the amount of money, much of it dark, the gerrymandering of districts as the saying goes, representatives choose the voters into not the other way around, the influence of lobbyists, especially lobbyists for money interests, these all thesere and things conspire to prevent us from getting democratic outcomes from our democracy.
